The story behind the name
Kulsab is a portmanteau of my parents’ names, Kulyash and Sabyrghali, both of whom have inspired me and driven me to believe in the power and importance of education and pursuing your dreams.
A little bit about the founder
Maira is originally from Kazakhstan, but currently lives in the US.
She has been involved in education for over 20 years, working at international organizations and NGOs, the US Embassy in Kazakhstan, and with higher education throughout the U.S., where she also lived, studied, and worked. Maira has advised thousands of students in Kazakhstan to pursue their studies abroad, and has helped them find their dream schools and universities.
Maira is a strong believer in lifelong learning, which drove her to earn her Master’s degree in her 50’s in International Education. Since her graduation, she’s been working as an admissions counselor advising graduate students.

My parents believed, and invested heavily in education and travel for their children. They valued the worldly experiences gained through travel, and considered exposure to other cultures an integral part of their children’s educational experience. I have carried my parents’ beliefs with me throughout my educational journey, and into my development as a career professional. I will continue to do so as I develop Kulsab Education and support students.
